Statement from Sandy Parker

Regarding Appointment to Finger Lakes Regional Economic Development Council:

"I want to thank Gov. Cuomo and his staff for recognizing the importance of engaging local leadership in economic development decisions by creating these regional councils. Through these councils, the governor is giving employers a significant voice in determining the future of our region, a role that is both appropriate and appreciated.

I believe this model of obtaining broad, informed input on the economic direction of the Finger Lakes region - a model RBA uses to set its community agenda priorities - will enhance the entrepreneurial spirit already thriving in this region and help forge a strong path toward job creation, economic vitality and a greater return of investment for taxpayers. And I am enthusiastic about working with the Finger Lakes' Council co-chairs Joel Seligman and Danny Wegman - two of our region's top employers as well as engaged Rochester Business Alliance board members."
