Hispanic Business Association Gala this Thursday

Tickets are now on sale for the 2010 Rochester Hispanic Business Association Gala, featuring the Hispanic Business Person of the Year.

The event is set for Thursday, Sept. 30 at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center.

Honored as the 2010 Hispanic Business Person of the Year will be R. Carlos Carballada, commissioner of economic development for the city of Rochester. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Emeterio M. Otero, executive dean at Monroe Community College's Damon City Campus.

The gala event opens with an expo that runs from 10:30 a.m. until noon and continues after the luncheon until 2:30. The luncheon is slated to run from noon to 1:30.

Tickets are $45 per person or $450 for a table of 10. Booths at the expo can be purchased for $150 for Hispanic Business Association members; $195 for others.
