Seminars Focus on Corporate Health and Safety Programs
The Rochester Business Alliance is offering five seminars this month designed to help companies manage their health and safety programs.
The courses are:
Leading the Safety Process: This two-part course runs from 8:30 a.m. to noon on May 24 and 28. The class, aimed at decision-making executives, will provide participants with information about the strategic role of safety and health in organizational operations, as well as their role in the process.
OSHA Record Keeping: This course, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. May 25, will provide participants with a detailed working understanding of the regulations, including new forms, definitions, recording criteria, criteria for first aid and medical treatment, mandatory privacy cases, expanded employee access to records, longer posting provisions and executive certification.
Safety Committee Operations: Set for 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on May 25, this course offers essential information required to effectively guide the workplace safety and health process using a committee approach.
Accident Investigation Fundamentals: This half-day course, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on May 27, is designed to provide basic tools for executives responsible for accident investigations at their companies.
The cost of each of these courses is $125 for RBA members, $165 for others.
The last course, entitled Managing the Emergency, is designed to help senior managers and those responsible for company security and health, with information necessary to assess threats, prepare a comprehensive emergency plan, develop internal response teams, and coordinate with community emergency responders in the event of an emergency. This course is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 26, and the registration fee is $195 for RBA members, $265 for others.
