Overview Mayor Robert Duffy has proposed a plan to implement Mayoral Accountability of the Rochester City School District. The accountability, administrative efficiency and academic achievement goals outlined in the city proposal will lead to improved student and system performance. With a graduation rate of 46 percent, and per pupil expenditures exceeding tuition costs at some of our leading local colleges, the status quo is something our community simply cannot afford.

From an employer standpoint, we recognize that the success of city students is key to the development of our region's future workforce. Our community cannot prosper without a strong city at its center, and our city will not be strong unless its schools improve.
