The Rochester Hispanic Business Association is accepting nominations for its 2010 Hispanic Business Person of the Year Award.
The award recognizes an individual who is a positive role model, and has enhanced the Hispanic Community with a significant, positive contribution to economic development, business interests or the arts, athletics, education, government, humanities, music, philanthropy, science, or social services. The honor will be presented by the association at its annual gala luncheon, set for Sept. 30 at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center.
Past recipients include Jacklyn Ortiz, a State Farm insurance agent and Rochester city councilwoman, Juan Contreras of Juan and Maria's Empanada Stop and Hiram Hernandez Sr. of First Capital Payments.
