Some 600 job seekers turned out at the fourth annual JOBSapalooza Jan. 7, setting a record for the job fair which is aimed at recent or soon-to-be college graduates looking for employment in the region.
More than 30 employers took part in the job fair, which is sponsored by the Rochester Business Alliance, Rochester Area Colleges, and the Rochester Area Career Development Center. The companies were looking to fill full and part-time positions in a wide variety of fields, including sales, advanced manufacturing and health care, as well as internships. JOBSapalooza is a statewide event, with similar job fairs held in Buffalo, Albany and Long Island.
