Registration for the Employee Relations Forum is now closed for 2009-10. Registration will begin again in August 2010. Members will be notified by e-mail when registration is available. Below is some general information on this forum.

As you know, employment relationships are in a constant state of evolution, due in part to changing business needs, laws, and regulations, but also due to the work environment which can lead to personality conflicts between employees. Based on feedback from members, this forum was created to help address the employee relations issues that arise by providing an opportunity for participants to discuss employee relations situations with other Human Resource professionals and learn from their past experiences and suggestions. When needed, a field expert, such as an employment law attorney, will attend the meeting to share their expertise and advice. Due to the sensitive nature of these types of issues, it is important that participants understand the importance of treating all information discussed in the meetings as confidential.

Members who sign up to participate in the forum will have the opportunity to suggest upcoming meeting topics, such as: conducting an investigation, employee discipline, performance management, understanding generational differences, managing change, employee retention and engagement tactics, designing your HR policies to better manage employee relations issues, etc. In addition, to help keep members connected between meetings, participants may request a brief (generally 3 - 5 questions) "Forum Survey" via e-mail on various human resource topics of interest. The cost to participate in the forum is $150. The registration fee reserves your space in the forum for the entire season and is non-refundable.
