The Rochester Business Alliance hosted a roundtable discussion Wednesday among 30 local business and community leaders and New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli.
DiNapoli met with the group for more than an hour, taking questions and fielding suggestions for ways his office can help revitalize the Upstate economy. In a press conference after the roundtable, DiNapoli said he appreciated the discussion and was looking forward to continuing to work with Rochester area leaders.

"It was a very positive meeting," said Sandy Parker, president and CEO of the Rochester Business Alliance. "The message from the business leaders was very clear: Upstate faces some serious challenges to its economy due to the cost of doing business in New York State. Still, we in Rochester have a number of great success stories. So just imagine how well our economy would be doing if we could get some help in lowering the cost of doing business in this state."
