Question: Tell me briefly about Parlec, Inc.
Nuccitelli: Parlec designs, manufacturers and distributes accessories for the CNC machine tool market throughout the world.

Question: How does your company stay ahead of industry trends?
Nuccitelli: New product development is key. Our products must allow our customers to increase the productivity and efficiency of their manufacturing operations. We also make continual investments in our own manufacturing operations to insure that our manufacturing operations remain competitive throughout the world.

Question: How does your company sustain continual growth?
Nuccitelli: Our growth comes from three areas:

1. Continuing to gain market share in existing markets such as North America, Europe and China.
2. Opening of new markets such as India and Belarus
3. Introduction of new or expanded products into the markets described above.

Question: What does it mean to your business to be recognized by the Rochester Business Alliance as one of Rochester's Top 100 Companies?
Nuccitelli: It is great recognition for all of the employees of Parlec. It also sends a signal that manufacturing is alive and well in Monroe County.

Question: What additional services can the Rochester Business Alliance provide to help your business?
Nuccitelli: Continue to be an advocate for business with our lawmakers. Hopefully, New York State will become business friendly sometime in my lifetime.

Question: What signs of optimism do you see in Rochester's economy?
Nuccitelli: Rochester has sustained cutbacks by traditional employers such as Kodak and Xerox. We have one of the lowest unemployment rates in the state. We also are continuing to build our technical base in Optics, advanced manufacturing and health services.

Question: What are the biggest opportunities you see ahead for Parlec, Inc.?
Nuccitelli: Continuing to develop products to enable the expansion of our markets around the world. We have so many great opportunities that our challenge will be to stay focused to insure that our reputation for great customer service is sustained.
