Four young women awarded scholarships

The Women's Council of the Rochester Business Alliance presented four young women with college scholarships and paid internships on Tuesday. The recipients were Olga Kravets of School of the Arts, Emma Fink of Wayne Central High School, Alexandra Marshall of Batavia High School, and Jessica noto of Greece Athena High School.

The top four were chosen from among 20 finalists for the award, all of whom were recognized at the ceremony at the Rochester Museum and Science Center.

More than 100 area young women applied for the honor, which is modeled on the prestigious international ATHENA Award. These awards are designed for young women in their junior or senior year of high school who demonstrate academic excellence, community service, and leadership. This ceremony is modeled after the prestigious ATHENA award for women in business.
