Question: Tell me briefly about Wireless World Wide. Oechsle: Wireless World was founded on the principal of bringing excellent customer service to previously underserved cellular markets throughout rural upstate NY. By building modern stores and staffing them with friendly, well-trained people, Wireless World has filled a needed niche in the industry.
Question: Where are most of your clients based? Oechsle: Our customers are primarily people that live and work within a 20 mile radius of our locations. They recognize the exceptional value and coverage that Verizon Wireless offers and appreciate the convenience and expertise of our locations and staff.
Question: What differentiates Wireless World Wide from its competitors? Oechsle: No question about it, our people make the difference! Every single Wireless World employee is trained in all aspects of customer service and Verizon Wireless products and services. That training is ongoing as new and exciting products and services arrive almost daily. Our people are excited about cellular and really enjoy helping our customers get the most from the ever expanding Verizon Wireless network.
Question: What does it mean to your business to be on the Top 100? Oechsle: It is a huge honor for us to be once again in the Rochester Top 100. Everyone involved with our business is extremely proud of this accomplishment. Our people work hard every day bringing our customers the best the industry has to offer and to be recognized this way puts a big smile on our faces!
Question: What do you think of the local economy? Oechsle: We have found the Rochester region to be a vibrant place to live and work. The local economy is good, with existing businesses expanding and new business startups on the rise! This is great news for Wireless World as more business brings us more people that need the best cellular service available; Verizon Wireless!
Question: What are the best things about doing business in Rochester? Oeschsle: People in the Rochester area expect good value for their money and Wireless World offers just that. We are a good fit with the people in this community and we appreciate the loyalty that folks from the region have shown us.
Question: What advice do you have for someone starting a small/new business here? Oeschsle: Take good care of your customers and they will take care of you!
Question: What are the biggest opportunities you see ahead? Oeschsle: Verizon Wireless is always challenging us with exciting new products and services and an ever growing coverage market. The opportunities it presents to us and our customers are virtually limitless as we evolve from a ‘phone company' to an overall communications solution. Even today we offer a single device that provides all voice and data communications that are available and fits in the palm of your hand! Who knows what tomorrow will bring.
