Question: Tell me briefly about Spex-Precision. Nolan: Spex Precision Machine is a high quality manufacturer and distributer of precision machined metal components. We specialize in the medium to higher difficulty parts that are used in cars, trucks, special instrumentation, electronic devices and home appliances.
Question: What are some of your company's main values? Nolan: Our company is strongly committed to delivering the very best customer service possible.
All of or marketing, sales, and customer service functions are performed by the top management team of our company. We take nearly every customer call and deliver what we promise.
Question: What differentiates Spex-Precision from its competitors? Nolan: Our employees and their commitment and dedication to our company and to our customers.
Question: What does it mean to your business to be recognized by the Rochester Business Alliance as one of Rochester's Top 100 Companies? Nolan: It is a real motivator for all of us here; everyone likes to be recognized for excellent performance.
Question: What additional services can the Rochester Business Alliance provide to help your business? Nolan: Nothing that I can think of.
Question: What signs of optimism do you see in the local economy? Nolan: I see our local economy poised for a long / steady growth period. Our primary job market has nearly finished the transition from a few dominant large local employers to a much more diverse group of small to mid sized companies. I believe this transition will be more steady and reliable.
Question: What are the biggest opportunities you see ahead, as well as the biggest challenges? Nolan: I think embracing the change from a local market to a global market is the single largest challenge and opportunity for all U.S. manufacturing companies.
