We asked Jim Kegelmeyer, president, and Sandy Kegelmeyer, vice president to talk about their business.

Question: How did your business get started?
Kegelmeyer: Jim and Sandy Kegelmeyer began ServerWare in 1997. Jim had a background in IT sales and Sandy's background in accounting and human resourses lent itself well to our start-up.

Question:Who are your customers?
Kegelmeyer: Our primary clients include Fortune 2000 companies (generally those with more than $50 million in revenues), higher education, municipal and state government agencies throughout the Upstate and Western New York region.

Question: How many people do you project you will employ in 2007?
Kegelmeyer: 25

Question: What does it mean to your business to be on the on the Top 100 for the last four years?
Kegelmeyer: Being in the Rochester Top 100 is an honor for us. We appreciate the recognition that we have received in the Rochester business community.

Question: What would you like to see happen in our region, and in our state, to help businesses thrive?
Kegelmeyer: More tax relief for small businesses.

Question: What advice do you have for someone starting a small business in Rochester?
Kegelmeyer: Start small and grow profitably.
