Rochester Business Alliance supports initiatives aimed at lowering
health care costs for employers and their employees.
More than 80 percent of area employers say increasing health care
costs are the No.1 issue affecting their organization, according to a
survey of Rochester Business Alliance members.
To address our members'
concerns, we joined with several community partners to form the
Rochester Business Alliance Health Care Initiative. The initiative,
headed by Paul Speranza, vice chairman, general counsel and secretary for Wegmans Food Markets, is aimed at bringing together
business leaders to find ways to provide affordable, quality health care - with the ultimate goal of making Rochester the healthiest community in America.
In addition to our local efforts, the Rochester Business Alliance is actively monitoring and speaking out on state and federal health care legislation, to guard against changes that would burden businesses with increased costs, taxes, fees, mandate and regulatory burdens.
